LX PRINTER

The LX PRINTER delivers next-generation laser power with a footprint equivalent to a desktop printer.

This ultra-compact system uses the same proven state-of-the-art laser source as Matica’s industrial central issuance industrial laser solutions. This makes the LX PRINTER ideal for decentralized secure ID card issuance, as part of a wider ID issuance scheme.

Its advanced laser source, combined with a dual module architecture delivers a solution to meet the most demanding issuance of polycarbonate based secure ID cards with embedded security features such as micro-text, tilted image/text and transparent-opaque elements.

The LX PRINTER in combination with the XID-M series retransfer printer enables the use of Matica’s proprietary technology, MSPI, in a decentralized issuance environment. MSPI adds an extra security feature when using polycarbonate cards by extracting the black (K) from the color image and adding it as a laser engraved secondary process in perfect register.

Inline retransfer printing and lamination

The MC-L2 laminator module is the ideal solution to enhance the durability and security of cards printed on the LX PRINTER and XID-M600 retransfer printer. Easy to install and operate, the MC-L2 works inline to laminate cards at exceptional speeds, laminating both sides of the card in less than 20 seconds thanks to the simultaneous dual-side lamination process.

A dual 2x 200 card input hopper printer version is also available. This enables users to issue two different card types on-demand – for example, a driver’s license and a vehicle registration card.
