As a national ID card integrating multiple critical functions, the solution demands advanced contact and contactless smart encoding, robust data encryption, and high-quality visual personalization, including premium imagery and precise rendering of specialized Chinese fonts. In addition, the cards are required to maintain durability and performance over an extended lifespan of 5 to 10 years.
Given China’s vast geographical landscape and significant environmental variations across regions, the deployment environment presents further complexity. Card issuance systems are distributed across numerous bank branches nationwide, often operated by personnel with varying levels of technical familiarity.
To address these challenges, the project adopted the Matica XID Series Retransfer Printers selected for their optimized performance. These solutions deliver exceptional print quality, reliable operation across diverse conditions, and user-friendly interfaces, complemented by responsive support from Identis, Matica, and local partners—ensuring consistent and efficient nationwide implementation.
